The business problem
Statutory accounting and management accounting usually live as two separate realities. The director gets the number on the 15th, and until then decisions are made on instinct. Meanwhile bank statements are still reconciled against orders by hand.
What we build
We build an automatic bridge between the operational system and the ledger. Bank statements are imported and payments matched against orders automatically; anything unmatched goes onto a separate list. Management reports are built from the same source data, so they cannot contradict the statutory books. A payment calendar shows upcoming obligations and expected receipts on one screen.
Rollout stages
- 01
Audit and analysis
We study the existing chart of accounts, report formats and reconciliation procedure.
- 02
Architecture and design
We agree how the ledger and management reporting map onto each other.
- 03
Development
We build the reconciliation, payment-calendar and reporting modules.
- 04
Integration
We set up exchange with the accounting software and the bank file formats.
- 05
Pilot operation
We run one month in parallel, comparing the old and new reporting side by side.
What the client gets
- Bank statements reconciled against orders automatically
- Management reporting from the same source as the statutory books
- A payment calendar and cash-flow forecast
- Accounts-receivable ageing report
Possible integrations
- 1C
- SAP
- Bank statement formats
- Payment gateways
- Tax reporting portals
- PostgreSQL
Security approach
Access to financial data is its own role group and every view is logged. Payment approval is multi-step, and above a threshold a second signature can be required. Bank integration can be configured as read-only.
Ongoing support
The system is updated as legislation and report formats change. Response times during month-end close are agreed separately.
